Hello! My name is Rae Wade and I’m a graduate of Western Washington University, and will soon be starting my Masters at the University College of Dublin. For the past four years, I have studied Geographic Information Systems, anthropology, and archaeology. I greatly enjoy all three disciplines and look forward to continuing my studies and their application in the world around me.

I’ve been very fortunate to be able to spend most of my life exploring the great outdoors in both my hometown of Bellevue, WA, my undergraduate town of Bellingham, WA, and my new home in Dublin, Ireland. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest has allowed for many opportunities to see my own small sliver of the universe; including hiking, skiing, kayaking,  and sailing. I’ve also been able to travel around the world, from Canada to Japan to France. I hope to be able to travel even more as my life moves forward, but to also be able to work with my other passions. My love for the outdoors extends into computer work through GIS, and am encouraged that this interest will continue for many years. Through my two degrees, I hope to understand the implications of past environments and civilizations to our current world.
